MAKEUP TIPS: Look Alive & Awake
There are days that I wake up & after washing my face, I look ready for an easy makeup look. Other days, I am puffy with tired eyes. I just got over a major sinus infection so I really need this. I wanted to share how I make every day a “good makeup day.”
STEP 1: COLD WATER
I splash ice cold water, not lukewarm, on my face about 3-4 times after washing it. It doesn’t just wake up my senses but my eyes look much less tired.
STEP 2: EYE PADS
I keep Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Eye Pads in the fridge & put them under my eyes before I start makeup. It’s like my dark circles disappear.
STEP 3: FACE ROLL
This is also a cooling, de-puffing step in the process. It’s also currently helping with my nasty drainage. TMI? lol
STEP 4: INNER EYE HIGHLIGHT
I use NYX Jumbo Stick in Cottage Cheese on my bottom water line & inner corner of my eye. This honestly lasts all day for me & it’s only $6.
STEP 5: TRIPLE CURLED LASHES
I curl my lashes once before doing my face makeup, again before setting my face with powder, then right before I put mascara on. Sometimes, I will wear falsies, but right now I’m very into how my lashes look with just mascara.
STEP 6: LIGHT CONTOUR
I just got an actual contour brush from Morphe. Before, I didn't think the brush mattered, but let me tell you, it DOES. I look so much more chiseled. This helps to thin the face.
