DIRTY HAIR: One Week - One Wash
If you know me, you know I despise washing my hair. It adds 20 minutes to my shower time then I have to blow dry it or chill with wet hair for 3 hours. I loathe wet hair. It makes me so uncomfortable. I could go on about it for hours, instead I’ll just get to the point-hairstyles to get you through one whole week without washing your hair.
Freshly washed hair! I either go with a straight hair look or just my natural hair. Always add MOROCCANOIL Treatment-less frizz, less fuss.
Still clean. More texture, which I love. To get this look I would sleep with two twisted (away from face) buns held by alligator clips. For true waves, add texture spray & sleep with a loose french braid.
Now we add the a small amount of dry shampoo, preferably at night. This is a half up, half down hair style but pigtails! Never thought I would love this hairstyle so much.
The OG half up, half down, but with an elevated pony. Not on top of your head & not resting. Continue with dry shampoo for oiliness & MOROCCANOIL Treatment to add shine.
Hide that hair. Our oiliness is starting to show through dry shampoo, but we must NOT give up!
One of my absolute favorites. HIGH PONY! Just flip your head over, grab that hair, brush smooth, & add curls. Trick to add volume to the ponytail: add two, criss-crossed bobby pins under the hair, stuck in the ponytail holder.
We made it & we can be lazy! Leftover curls from the day before put into a low pony, leave some face framing pieces out, & throw on your best baseball hat.
Let me just tell you my experience with going a week without washing my hair & using each one of these hairstyles. To start, I felt a little gross then I started to get used to dirty hair. In the morning, I wasn’t as worried about my hair because I knew exactly how I would be styling it & it didn’t have to be perfect. I really felt like I had more time during the week. By the end, I figured out that dirty hair doesn’t hold back a cute look, it can actually add to it!
Let me know your favorite dirty hairstyles. I need more. People might start to be catching onto a pattern…
