ANXIETY COPING TIPS & MANAGEMENT
START WITH “WHAT DO I NEED?”
RIGHT NOW. IN THIS MOMENT…It could be water, a nap, or even to breathe.
TETRIS, BEJEWELED. Life. Changing. Playing games on my phone has significantly reduced my anxiety, in the moment. It assists me in refreshing my mind & thought process.
“ANIMALS” PINTEREST BOARD
I adore animals & created a Pinterest board for them when my anxiety was at a peak. I knew I could pin new & look back on old pins to help feel better & get out of my own head.
LAY FLAT ON MY BACK
This helps me make sure I’m not stiff or closing myself off from the world. I have a tendency to curl up & tense my shoulders, jaw, feet, etc. When I’m laying on my back I can breathe openly.
Magnesium is named the “original chill pill” & rightfully so. Studies show that greater magnesium intake greatly lessened the amount of fear & anxiety one felt.
DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE
Being productive will help to feel accomplished. Simply clean up (home, phone, email), have spa time (bathe, paint nails, wash hair), organize something (jewelry, room, phone), workout (YOGA, running, stretching), or whatever makes you feel like you have done something for yourself!
I mean it. I have been working with a psychologist for over a year now & it has been heaven-sent. Dr. S has helped me learn to love myself, connect my mind, body, & soul, & get the courage/energy/motivation to start this blog. Anxiety & figuring yourself out doesn’t have to be a battle you go through alone. There are people who want to help others with their struggles.
PLEASE share your tips for dealing with anxiety. So many people struggle everyday & your method could truly help someone.
